How do I get a refill on my prescription eye drops?
If you are an established patient, you can call or text our office to request a refill on your eye drop prescription. We’ll take care of the request as quickly as possible.
How long is my glasses or contact lens prescription valid in Kentucky?
Your glasses and contact lens prescriptions are valid for one year from the date of your comprehensive eye exam.
Do you offer same-day glasses at Vision Source of Bowling Green?
We do not offer same-day glasses at this time. Most glasses orders are ready in about 2 weeks, depending on lens type and availability.
Can I purchase over-the-counter eye drops and vision supplements from your office?
Yes! We carry select doctor-recommended products including Optase eye drops, MacuHealth supplements, and Nordic Naturals Omega-3 supplements.
Do I need to bring a Kentucky driver’s license vision form to my eye exam?
No, you do not need to bring the form. Just let our staff know at the beginning of your appointment that you need a vision form completed, and we’ll take care of it during your visit.
Will I receive a text message with a link to pay my bill?
Yes. If you have an outstanding balance, we may send a secure text message with a link to our payment portal through Promptly.
Can I have my eyeglasses shipped to me?
Yes! We offer shipping for your glasses. Please contact our office for current shipping rates and options.
How long does it take for my glasses or contact lenses to arrive?
- Prescription glasses typically arrive in about 2 weeks.
- Contact lenses usually arrive within 1 week, depending on the brand and availability.
Will I be notified when my glasses or contacts are ready for pickup?
Yes, we will text you as soon as your order is ready. If you don’t receive text messages, we’ll give you a call.
Can I pick up my glasses or contacts without coming inside?
Yes! You can use our drive-up service. Just pull under our awning and give us a call when you arrive—we’ll bring your order out to your car.
How can I get a printed copy of my eye prescription?
Your prescription is:
- Automatically uploaded to your secure patient portal after your exam
- Available by fax upon request
- Or you can request a printed copy during your visit
What types of Medicaid vision plans do you accept?
We currently accept WellCare, Aetna, and Humana Medicaid plans. For other insurance inquiries, feel free to call our office for the most up-to-date list.
Does your eye care clinic close for lunch breaks?
No. Our office remains open during lunch hours for your convenience.
Are you open on weekends?
Yes. On the second Saturday of every month.
